This strawberry ice cream is smooth and creamy. You process the ingredients in a blender, so there are no chunks in the ice cream.
If you want strawberry ice cream with chunks of strawberries, you can chop a few strawberries and add them right before you pour the ingredients into the freezer container.
You can use a loaf pan like the type you’d make bread in as a freezer container. Or, you can use another type of freezer-safe container. If it has a lid, put the lid on.
Or, you can cover the ice cream carefully with plastic wrap.
2 Ingredient Strawberry Ice Cream Ingredients
All you need to make this delightful frozen treat is a bag of frozen strawberries and a bottle of your favorite coffee creamer. I chose French Vanilla Coffee Creamer when I made this.

Sugar Free Ice Cream Option
Yes, if you’re worried about the sugar content in this coffee creamer ice cream recipe, you can use sugar-free coffee creamer instead of regular creamer.
It’s a great option for a more diabetic-friendly ice cream recipe.
No Churn Ice Cream Recipe Tips
- Use a high power blender like a Blendtec or Vitamix for best results. I have also made this recipe with a Ninja with great success.
- You can also use other frozen fruit (peaches, berries, etc).
- Turn the blender off and scrape down the sides with a silicone spatula as needed.
- If you are out of coffee creamer you can substitute 1 cup whole milk, 3/4 cup heavy cream, 1/4 cup powdered sugar, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
How long will this stay good?
This homemade strawberry ice cream is so good, it never lasts more than a few days in our house. But, if you do want to store it for a longer period, you certainly can.
No churn ice cream is best enjoyed within a week of making it. Be sure that you cover the top tightly to prevent freezer burn. I often press plastic wrap over the top for added protection.
For best results, store it in a shallow flat container in the back of the freezer. Never store ice cream in the freezer door.
While you can store it for longer than a week, it may not taste as good as if you ate it sooner. So, feel free to eat a big bowl as often as you like.
Serving Suggestions for Homemade Strawberry Ice Cream
There are so many delicious ways to serve this strawberry ice cream. You can always enjoy a big bowl on its own.
Or, top it with your favorite ice cream toppings. Or, you can have a scoop (or two) in an ice cream cone. Try adding a scoop on a slice of pie or sandwiching it between two shortbread or chewy chocolate chip cookies.
Last week when we went grocery shopping I was really craving ice cream. Being we do not buy ice cream that often, I let my 6-year-old pick out the flavor.
Needless to say, we came home with a chocolate ice cream with chocolate fudge and chocolate brownie bits in it.
Enjoy!
With love, from our simple kitchen to yours.

Homemade Strawberry Ice Cream + Video
Ingredients
- 2 cups liquid french vanilla creamer
- 4 cups frozen strawberries
Instructions
- Add creamer to blender. Top with frozen berries. Place lid on the blender and pulse until strawberries and creamer come together. Use your ice cream setting, if your blender has one. Scrape down as needed. Blend until ice cream is thick and creamy.
- Serve immediately or scrape into a freezer container (I use a bread loaf pan). Cover with wax paper to keep ice crystals from forming on the top. Freeze until ready to serve, 2 hours to 2 weeks.
- Scoop and Enjoy!

Hi Donna, thank you for the recipe. I am currently at home with my children who would love for me to make them this recipe; however, I do not have any strawberries. Is there a replacement that will have the same effect? Unfortunately, I am unable to drive to the store to buy strawberries because we just got snowed in (we live in Alaska)! Also, I have 7 kids and I am afraid they will gang up on me if I cannot make this for them. Please help. Thank you!
I have used other frozen fruit with a great outcome. Peaches, berry mix… I would experiment and see how it goes. Enjoy and let me know what you come up with.
We dont have international delight in South Africa what would be the alternative for us to use? Is international delight a milk powder?
International delight is a cold coffee creamer, not a powder. I don't know what the equivalent would be for South Africa.
Could you use half & half with vanilla?
Hi Donna, can you please tell me about the French Vanilla Creamer. Is that a Ice cream and then you just add the frozen strawberries?
Could you watermelon or honeydew melon
Sounds amazing! I don't use store bought creamer because of all the addition of oils and artificial ingredients, but I make my own and this sounds yummy!
OMG I used the dry creamer! It was fine. Blended well!!!!
Could I substitute the international vanilla creamer with Vanilla almond milk and a little heavy cream? I'm on the Keto diet and can't have sugary creamers.
Use the sugar free French Vanilla creamer, it will work the same and keep you on Keto.
What is a "creamer"?
Can you use frozen cool whip instead of the creamer.
any ideas for a low carb pecan ice cream ?
Will this work in a regular blender or do you need a fancy one?
I used this recipe for the fresh peach ice cream … popped them in the freezer for a few hours and got a bowl full of ice crystals… what did I do wrong?
Commercial frozen peaches are flash frozen. That’s why your peaches had ice crystal. For best results use commercially frozen peaches.
I used frozen raspberries with International Delights French Vanilla. Delicious!
Hi Ms.Donna So enjoy TSRI.I also enjoy the kitchen and creating new food ideas. I am a PC.In making the no churn Ice cream & yogurts,I have found that if you add 2Tablespoons of Sanalac Nonfat Drymilk Powder it cuts down on the Ice crystals forming.I always stir mine,at least once.Especially if I am leaving it overnight before serving.
Appreciate this post. Will try it out.
You can add unflavored gelatin to your mix and it will keep it from freezing so hard. The recipe I tried said one teaspoon and it was so much better consistency. I still had to let it soften 5-8 minutes. But not ice crystals like the previous time I made it. I think I might try 1.5-2 tsp the next time.
Our favorite summer treat! So easy to make and tastes so good!
