Sex on the Beach

Hey Slow Roasters, it's Thursday and you know what that means.  It's Ladies Night.  This week we are diving into the archives to bring you a summer classic.  Some drinks need no improvement.  You've all heard of it, but not all of you have had it...  This week we bring you "Sex on the Beach".

This delicious cocktail is loaded with the fabulous fruit flavors of summer.  This is a sweet drink that tastes more like a fruit punch than a cocktail.  The combination is so perfect that you will find yourself left with nothing more than a few ice cubes and a warm glow, as you start sipping your second one.

This classic originated on the beaches of Fort Lauderdale, Florida 25 years ago.   But every place is the perfect place for "Sex on the Beach", so kick off your heels and enjoy!
Sex on the Beach
1 1/2 ounces Absolut vodka
1 1/2 ounces peach Schnapps
2 ounces cranberry juice
2 ounces orange juice
splash grenadine
ice
lemon wedge

Fill glass with ice.  Pour vodka and schnapps over top of the ice.  Fill glass half full of cranberry juice.  Finish filling the glass with orange juice.  Add a splash of grenadine.  Garnish with lemon wedge and serve!

  2. This is very close to my favorite drink - the Fuzzy Navel. Can't wait to try this one too! I must say however, I've never had this on the beach. Sounds sandy :)

  3. Oh my goodness, I haven't even thought of this one in more years than I care to admit. Absolutely gorgeous photo of the glass, Chad! Love the condensation, I can guess how hot the patio was when you shot that one.
