Vanilla Bean Whipped Honey Butter

I have had pancakes, bread and butter on my mind for weeks.  Since we enjoyed our brunch pancake bar I can’t stop thinking about flavor combinations.

I love love love vanilla and it really comes through in this Vanilla Bean Honey Butter Recipe.

Scrumptious enough to eat with a spoon, this whipped honey butter is sweet and bursting with vanilla flavor.  It is a total treat when spread on homemade bread and heated.  It reminds me of a bear claw I would eat when I was young, smothered in butter.  So delicious.

I made this butter to serve with our weekend buttermilk pancakes, but it is fabulous everywhere.  Cover and refrigerate when not using and it will last for weeks.

Ingredients
 

  • 1 stick unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla bean paste, or seeds from 2 vanilla beans
  • pinch salt

Instructions
 

  • Combine ingredients in a medium bowl. Whip using an electric mixer until light and fluffy.
  • Transfer to a serving dish. Enjoy!
