Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Dip is creamy and tastes just like cookie dough. Serve with animal crackers. It is amazingly addictive!
Happy Friday Slow Roasters and welcome to Diving Into Decadence at The Slow Roasted Italian. At our last party the star dessert was this amazingly addictive Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Dip that was served with animal crackers and fruit slices.
For a party where every food was a dip of some sort this was truly the icing on the cake. We also enjoyed
Melt butter in a small pot over medium heat. Add brown sugar and stir until sugar dissolves and mixture starts to bubble. Set aside to cool, and whisk in vanilla.
In the bowl of a stand mixer, cream together cream cheese and powdered sugar for 60 seconds. With mixer on low speed, add in salt, brown sugar and butter mixture. Mix until combined.
Add 1 cup chocolate chips, continue to mix until combined.
Garnish with remaining chocolate chips. Serve with animal crackers and sliced fruit.

Does the brown sugar mixture need to be completely cooled? I added the brown sugar mixture right after I mixed the cream cheese mix and it came out watery.
A friend made this for me while I was in High School and I've used the recipe for almost every Holiday gift or reason I can think of for about 5 years now! People LOVE it!

It does not need to completely cool. It should cool for several minutes while you are working on the cream cheese.

This is so sweet, creamy, and delicious. I did not expect to love this as much as I did. Awesome recipe!
