Copycat TGIF Frozen Chocolate Mudslide

SCROLL TO THE BOTTOM OF THE PAGE FOR RECIPE

Thursday is finally here!  Today we have a BIG celebration at The Slow Roasted Italian.  We are celebrating my Daddy's birthday.  He lives on the east coast and my family (Mr. W, Em and I)  is unable to be there to celebrate, so we are hosting a virtual celebration for him.

Today being "Ladies Night" works out perfectly.  Our spotlight drink tonight is a family favorite.  I can remember my Mom's birthday celebration a few years back, the whole family was enjoying Frozen Mudslides and this drink makes me think of them, and of us all being together.

A Frozen Chocolate Mudslide is an adult milkshake to remember.  Just like your favorite mudslide in heavenly chocolate!

Mr. W and I call on my Mom and my sisters "Mammy" and "TeeTee" along with my brothers "Bubby" and "Henry" to raise a glass to Daddy.  To a fantastic father and husband.  Happy Birthday, we all love you!

Salute!  Cent' anni !!  (May you live 100 years).
Frozen Chocolate Mudslide - serves 2

6 scoops chocolate ice cream
3 oz  vodka
3 oz Bailey's Irish cream
3 oz Kahlua® coffee liqueur
16 ice cubes
3 oz cream
2 tablespoons Hershey's syrup

Begin by crushing the 8 ice cubes in a blender. When ice is finely crushed, add the remaining ingredients (ice cream first to keep room temperature alcohol from melting ice) and blend for 45 seconds on blender's highest setting. Pour into glass and serve immediately.

ALTERNATIVES:  Vanilla Mudslide use vanilla ice cream instead of chocolate.
TGIF Mudslide use 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream and 4 scoops of chocolate.
