“On the Lighter Side” this week, I bring you a simple smoothie made with mango, banana and yogurt.  It is thick, refreshing, flavorful and a great source of protein at 14 grams per serving (that’s more than 2 eggs!).

“On the Lighter Side” this week, I bring you a simple smoothie made with mango, banana and yogurt. It is thick, refreshing, flavorful and a great source of protein at 14 grams per serving (that’s more than 2 eggs!).

  • 1 medium banana, peeled
  • 1 cup mango chunks, frozen
  • 1 cup non-fat plain yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon honey


  • Place banana, mango, yogurt and honey in blender.
  • Blend until smooth, pour into your favorite glass and serve immediately.

  7. I made your smoothie for my SRC assignment this month. You made my life this month really difficult 😉 – there were just way too many great recipes on your blog, I had a long long list and simply could not choose one. So on the last day before the reveal I made the simplest one :-). The smoothie was really delicious, we had it with brunch yesterday and did not feel like we needed a dessert – it's so sweet and filling, and refreshing at the same time. Thank you for the great recipe and I will be back here for more recipes, when I'm under less pressure to choose only one 🙂
