Shamrock Shake Cocktail

Happy Thursday and welcome to Ladies Night here at The Slow Roasted Italian.

I can't believe its March already.  Only 16 days until Saint Patricks Day.  Mr. W seems to always know when it is March, he goes crazy over these McDonald's Shamrock Shakes (well until they changed the formula).  Anyway, he and I have developed our own versions of the Shamrock Shake.

This is Chad's adult version of the Shamrock shake.  I will share mine very soon!
Recipe adapted from several recipes found on the web

Shamrock Shake Cocktail
1 ounce Absolut vodka
2 ounces Creme de Menthe (this is where the gorgeous green color comes from)
2 scoops vanilla ice cream

Combine ice cream, vodka and creme de menthe in blender.  Blend until mixture is thick and pourable.  Pour in a large glass and serve with a straw.

Enjoy!
