Root Beer Float Martini Dessert Cocktail

Saturday is game night around these parts.  Spades, Poker, Uno, Skipbo, Rummy and even Farkle or Yahtzee from time to time.  I tell ya we are wild and crazy like that!  We invite a handful of our best friends over and we catch up over some yummy snacks that I will serve and from time to time our friends will bring our favorite game night treat.  Root Beer floats!

A 2 liter bottle of root beer and a 1/2 gallon of ice cream is all it takes to satisfy this crew.  But from time to time Chad and I enjoy our favorite root beer float in a grown up version.  The Root Beer Float Martini is a cocktail that will wow you and your guests!

It starts with a simple infusion.  Truly crush candies and combine with vodka in a mason jar.  The root beer infusion is incredible and is good enough to drink on its own, but don't get ahead of yourself.  We came for the whole float!  The creation tastes just like a grown up root beer float. It will rock your world.

Reese's Peanut Butter Cup Cocktail  is a magical blend of chocolate and hazelnut liqueurs and a few items from your kitchen pantry that come together to create the most authentic peanut butter cup cocktail you will ever taste.  It is truly enchanting.

Root Beer Float Martini
2 ounces root beer infused Smirnoff Fluffed Vodka (recipe to follow)
2 ounces  International Delight French Vanilla Creamer
1 ounce Smirnoff caramel vodka

Combine ingredients in a cocktail shaker filled with ice.  Shake to combine, pour into a martini glass rimmed with crushed root beer candies.  Serve and enjoy!

Root Beer Infused Vodka
14 root beer candies
4 ounces Smirnoff Fluffed Vodka 

Crush candies in a food processor or in a resealable plastic bag using a mallet.  Pour candies and vodka into a resealable glass jar.  Shake to combine.  Allow to dissolve.  After 1-2 hours candies should be dissolved into vodka.
