How to Roast Nuts

I love toasted almonds, pecans and pine nuts in so many dishes that I like to make a huge batch of them. I store them in the freezer for snacking, salads and desserts! Not to mention I love to have toasted nuts (walnuts or pine nuts) on hand to whip up a really quick pesto in my food processor. I have the best pesto recipe ever. I will have to share it with you someday.

Roasted nuts are great for a quick savory snack. If you really want to jazz these roasted nuts up, you can melt a couple of tablespoons of butter with a mixture of your favorite seeds and spices. Then toss the nuts in the butter mixture.

For a fast, sweet snack, melt 1 tablespoon butter, add 1 tablespoon honey and a pinch of cayenne. Add 2 cups of toasted nuts and toss them together.

Of course, they are perfect as they are. I also love to toast almonds and add them to recipes like Cranberry Sauce, 3-Ingredient Brownies, Cranberry Apple Crockpot Oatmeal and Best Ever Chocolate Chip Cookie. They add great flavor! Or try this Honey Vanilla Almond Nut Butter.

No matter your preference, you are going to love them!

Enjoy!

With love from our simple kitchen to yours.
