This one is an incredibly striking drink with layers of red, white and blue. Imagine the peachy flavor of warm sunshine on a summer day, brightened by the bitter orange of the blue curacao and sweetened by the grenadine. It's like electric candy in a shot glass.
The layers separate perfectly like magic. But, no magic trick required. Pour your grenadine into your cocktail glass first. Gently pour your blue curacao into the glass and then pour the peach schnapps gently on top.

ReplyDeleteFun, fun, fun!! Love this soo much! Here's a tip I learned for pouring the layers, if you pour each one over the back of a spoon, it will gently layer! This is great for the long weekend!!

ReplyDeleteThat is an amazing photo, I bow to your husband's photo skills.
ReplyDeleteBlue curacao reminds me of a drink from my teenage years...errr, I mean, my "only after I turned 21" years. Blue whales - 1 bottle of blue curacao, 1 bottle grain alcohol, 2 gallons lemonade, and a buttload of sliced oranges.
I have a non alcoholic striped drink on my blog...but I wish I had all the ingredients for this one because I'd love to try it! Great post! =D
