I have really been rocking the one-pot meals lately. I would cook all day every day, except that means washing dishes and cleaning up all day every day too. I was just chatting with my friend about this. I prefer to cook a couple times a week and eat left overs the rest of the week. That means making food that reheats well too.

Some days by the time I am getting dinner ready I really have no energy left. All I want to do is feed my family and go relax. One skillet meals are such a life saver. Aside from the option of making a huge mess and leaving it for the morning (which I have to admit may have happened once or twice), cleaning up a skillet and a few plates is so much more appealing after dinner.

Chad has been asking for pulled pork sandwiches for months. As much as I love, love, love The Best Ever Simple Crockpot Pulled Pork Sandwich I wanted to try something new. So I decided to give Jack Daniel's a try. I mean I have yet to be disappointed in Jack when cooking.
I really dig this whole flavor profile that we've developed. Our Jack Daniel's Double Kick recipes features smoky and sweet flavors that are just a bit tangy and have little kick from chili peppers and whiskey, it truly is magical.
And let me tell you... Oh my heavens! What a great idea Jack crockpot pork was.

Pork chops are an old family staple, but I hadn't made them on the grill because I didn't want to serve dry pork chops. Who does, right? After figuring out the perfect preparation and cooking method I am happy to tell you that these grilled pork chops are incredibly moist and Chad has declared them his favorite pork chops ever. That is quite an endorsement!

My mom has been on my mind a lot lately. With Mother's Day and an upcoming trip we are taking together I can't stop thinking about her. When I think about my mom, memories of my childhood come flooding back. The kitchen is the heart of a home (in my life). I remember my mom in the kitchen most often. Fond memories that take me back.

It has been an amazing week with Gourmet Garden. I can't begin to tell you how hooked on their herbs and spices I am. Well, I guess I can try... These herbs and spices translate perfectly in every recipe I have tried. I have cooked them, added them to raw dishes, made drinks with them, made pesto, I even add them to my eggs in the morning and beat them together and make an omelet.

Sometimes its the little things that makes your day complete. Like recipe developing with your child. It truly is something I have dreamed about and it did indeed come true. One step at a time she is only 3, but I tell you that child has a passion for food already. She flips through my food magazines and points out food that looks good and asks what it is.

It doesn't get much easier or cheesier than pull apart bread. Cut it, stuff it, bake it, eat it. The flavor combinations are endless. I decided to try some of my favorite flavors combined together. Close, but no, not bacon, cheese and beer. But that sounds delicious! Bacon, cheddar and ranch pull apart bread brings together a fabulous flavor combination and loads of ooey gooey cheese.

Cowboy Up! It's Chili Time! This is now Chad's favorite chili. I created this recipe with the intention of making it 'stick to your bones good'. Well, apparently it is "Stupid Good". I guess maybe that means it is so good, you can't quite come up with the words to describe it.
So thick you can eat it with a fork. So good we are out already. So fast I am making it again tomorrow. Prep to plate in 30 minutes!

We really love pizza and we could eat it everyday! Munchkin goes crazy for pizza and she lets us know when we are driving past our favorite pizza place. As in, "what are you doing? The pizza is back there!!!". We all love the meat lovers pizza; loaded with pepperoni, beef, sausage and bacon. It makes my heart go pitter patter.
