Homemade Creamy Lemon Syrup

How many times must I profess my love for lemon?  Oh, okay. You got it already.  In case there is any doubt, check out my selection of lemon dishes here on our website or our Lemon Love Pinterest board with over 800 pins.

When I was planning for the Ladies Brunch that we hosted a few weeks back as soon as a pancake bar came to mind I was thinking about creating a lemon syrup. Something bright and refreshing that would be perfect on pancakes, cakes, desserts and of course (my criteria) scrumptious on a spoon.  Well, this perfect Homemade Creamy Lemon Syrup is all that and more.

Light and bright with a warm note from the cream and butter it comes together in merely 10 minutes and has been the topic of many conversations.  And...  I may have made 3...  or 4 batches of this syrup already.

It is fantabulous!  You are going to love it.

3 Ingredient Homemade Strawberry Syrup is perfectly simple and delicious.  So good you will eat it right off a spoon.

Homemade Creamy Lemon Syrup
12 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
3/8 cup (6 tablespoons) heavy whipping cream
3/8 cup (6 tablespoons) fresh lemon juce
1 tablespoon fine lemon zest

In a small saucepan over medium-low heat cook until sugar is dissolved.  Remove from heat and allow to cool.  Pour into serving container.

Serve and enjoy!

    1. The recipe is correct. It makes quite a bit of syrup.

    2. What about the lemon juice, blueberries and zest for the pancakes? Just add them in with the mixture?

    3. Lemon juice, zest and blueberries go in where it says to add vanilla.

  6. Where do I get the recipe? Trying to click in the picture and it just opens the picture in another window. I certainly want to try this! I agree, lemon makes everything taste better!!!
