Line a 9x9 inch square pan with foil or parchment paper.
In a medium saucepan over medium low heat add your chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk and vanilla.
Stir until all melted and smooth, do not let this burn or cook too high as it will turn the chocolate a tan color instead of white.
Once all the chocolate chips are melted remove the pan from the heat.
Stir in the gum drops until just mixed in.
Pour the fudge into your prepared 9x9 pan and smooth out.
Chill in the fridge for at least 2 hours up to overnight.
Remove the fudge from the pan once chilled and slice into bite size squares. You can cut the squares larger or smaller depending on your preference.
Notes
You can also use almond bark instead of chocolate chips.I used Dots candies that I cut in half but you can use regular gumdrops or even spiced gumdrops. You want to work pretty quickly once the chocolate has melted before it firms back up.I let the fudge sit out after chilling for a bit to make it easier to cut.To get pretty squares trim off the rough edges first.Store these in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week and in the fridge for up to 2 weeks. Let the fudge come back to room temperature before serving.
