Outrageous Orange Amaretto Syrup

This weekend we enjoyed the company of several local Phoenix blogger friends.  We served an outrageous pancake brunch with an insane pancake bar.  There were requests for every recipe.  Our most popular item was my orange amaretto syrup.

This is unlike any syrup you have ever had before.  It is bright citrusy, thick and delicious with a hint of almond to bring it all together.  Now I know we went through at least 10 tasting spoons before we even served it because it is sooo good.  But, once you heard the guest mentioning that they don’t even need pancakes, just more of this fabulous sauce I knew just how good it really was.

Needless to say Sunday’s pancake breakfast needed an encore so we had pancakes for lunch with this fabulous syrup.  It is insanely delicious.  We are contemplating all the possibilities; pancakes, desserts, on the spoon, ice cream, cake, cupcakes, just on a spoon…  Seriously it is amazing!
