How To Recreate Panera Bread Salads

No matter the recipe, all you need to do is gather the ingredients and toss them all together!

To make a homemade Panera Green Goddess Salad, add a handful or two of spring mix to your plates and pile on the toppings.

You will need to prep a few things first unless you are an expert at multitasking! The bacon can go in the oven while you hard boil the eggs on the stove or in an air fryer.

Then, fire up the grill and cook your chicken breasts to perfection.

Let them rest for a few minutes so they stay nice and juicy, then slice and place them on top of everything else.

Drizzle with some of my homemade Panera Bread Green Goddess Salad dressing and dig right in!

If you don’t have a grill, you can cook the chicken on the stove in a large skillet instead.

Heat a little bit of oil over medium-high heat, then place the meat in the pan leaving space between each breast.

Cook for 5 to 7 minutes without moving, then flip each piece and cook for an additional 5 to 7 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.

Serving Suggestions

Enjoy Panera Bread Green Goddess Salad as a full meal or add a piece of crusty bread to soak up the extra dressing.

You could also create a homemade You Pick Two combo by pairing a smaller portion of Panera salads with soup or a sandwich.

I have an easy recipe for Panera’s famous broccoli cheddar soup, or try a gourmet grilled cheese that’s loaded with all kinds of fillings!

Green Goddess Salad Panera FAQ

What’s the difference between this recipe and the Green Goddess Salad Panera recipe?

There are just a few minor adjustments based on what was more readily available, but they are close enough that you shouldn’t be able to tell the difference.

Instead of grape tomatoes and pickled red onions, my homemade Panera Green Goddess salad has cherry tomatoes and sliced shallots.

Plus, I added some feta cheese crumbles which aren’t in the original Panera salad recipe, but you can leave those out if you prefer.

Is there another lettuce I can use if I don’t like spring mix?

Yes, many Panera salads taste just as delicious with some chopped romaine instead.

Can I make Panera Green Goddess salad ahead of time?

Absolutely! I suggest mixing together only the greens and toppings, then add the chicken and dressing just before serving.

That said, you can prepare everything a day or two in advance and keep covered in separate containers in the refrigerator.

  1. Slow roasted Italian:
I really wish you would add the nutrition info as I'm on a very strict low sodium diet. Thanks

  2. Thank you for the recipe. Please just put the dressing recipe with the salad ingredients. It's a pain to click back and forth between two recipes while all the advertisements load each time. Thanks.

  3. Was not as good as I thought it would be, however, I think the lemon I used was extremely large and juicy, which of course made the taste of lemon a little over-powering. Can you advise an actual quantity please Donna?! Thanks so much.
