5 Minute, 5 Ingredient, 5 Star Brown Gravy
makes about 2 cups

¼ cup butter
¼ cup flour
1 teaspoon onion powder
2 cups water
4 teaspoons beef bouillon granules

Combine water and bouillon in a heat proof container (I use my glass measuring cup). Heat the beef broth in microwave 1 minute at a time, until it is steaming hot.

Melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat, add flour and onion powder and whisk together.  Allow to cook for 1 minute, whisking occasionally (this helps cook out the ‘floury’ taste).  Add beef broth to flour mixture and whisk.  Bring to boil, reduce to simmer for 1 minute.

Serve and enjoy!

  1. I was looking for a quick gravy to add to my normal TG gravy. I'm just making a turkey breast this year so there won't be as much drippings to make gravy with, thanks Donna!

    1. If you are only making a turkey breast any time. When the breast is ½ way cooked add a box of swanson or college in Turkey broth. Then add one Knorr Chicken bouillon cube to the broth once the turkey is cooked. Don't add all the turkey broth save about a ½ cup of broth then add a couple of tablespoons or so of cornstarch to the broth until creamy then slowly add that to the turkey broth to make gravy. you will have about 4 cups of gravy for your turkey.

  2. These days we all need some great tasting short cuts in our arsenal of recipes. The more the better I say! As always, I love reading how others create great meals in our time crunched world.
