We are so excited to be partnering with Terrapin Ridge Farms. We love fun dips, sauces and toppings and that is just the beginning of what we found on their site. Playing with their sauces, spreads, dips and glazes was so much fun. I can not believe all the flavors that are available.
I remember, a few months ago while vacationing we ran into this great boutique shop that sold salsas, jellies and jams. We spent hours in there sampling the different flavors. I have such appreciation for unusal flavor combinations and we were looking for something to really knock our socks off.
After working with Terrapin Ridge Farms over the last few months I am completely and totally blown away by the fabulous flavor combinations available from one brand. I was most taken by their commitment to quality. They use the very best ingredients and most are all natural and gluten free. Which makes me feel great about serving them to my 3 year old.
While I enjoyed playing with all of their products, and believe me there are an array of amazing flavor combinations, my favorite was their Sriracha Sauce. I swear it is perfect heat for me. Living in the southwest we eat a lot of hot peppers, spices and hot flavors. I like heat but I am more of a medium heat kinda girl. Where Chad loves Serrano and Habaneros, they can be a little much for me. This Sriracha Sauce is perfect. It starts off with the classic sriracha and they add tomato puree and some smoky spices to really knock it out of the park.
While I love pinching pennies and finding great deals, I love finding products that give me a lot of bang for my buck too. They have recently released 'meal starter sauces'. All natural and gluten free products packed with quality ingredients that I can pronounce. With these meal starters you literally prep your meat, add the meal starter and cook. WOW!
I am not one to grab ready made meals (unless I made them and frozen them) but these meal starter sauces are fabulous. I have the carnitas on the menu for later this week when I can't even spare 30 minutes to whip up dinner. Sear my pork, place it in the crock pot with 1/2 jar (yes these jars make 2 MEALS) and let it cook for 7-8 hours. I'm in!
Another product that I am so excited about it their Tart Cherry, Apple and Rosemary Glaze. Can you say autumn in a bottle? Packed with real fruit juices, honey, spices and just a little habanero this is going on my pork roast. I have been sampling the bottle with a spoon. Is that weird? Can you say the best fall pork roast ever?
Now back to that Sriracha Sauce (which by the way is in the generous giveaway package from our friends at Terrapin Ridge). It was truly inspiring. So inspiring in fact that I had to create a game day (or non-game day) appetizer with it. Chad has been begging me to make wings. One of his favorites. I created the most scrumptious Sriracha Honey Chicken Wings with Terrapin Ridge Farms Sriracha Sauce. I added my favorite honey, lime and lime zest and a little butter to add a silkiness to the sauce.
I tell you these wings are out of this world. The sauce is so good we added it to chicken breasts and put a batch in the fridge for dipping too. Wowza! Sweet and spicy with a great added layer of flavor from the limes. The recipe says it serves 8, but depending on who is eating, It could be as little as 4. You are going to love this!
Chad and I love giving fabulous food gifts during the holidays and this year we will be looking up Terrapin Ridge Farms for some of our Christmas gifts. Luckily you do not need to wait for the holidays or a special occasion to try these fabulous products from Terrapin Ridge Farms.
I honestly think I will be ordering Chad a case of the Roasted Pineapple Habanero Dip for Christmas. All I know is I had a few bites and then the jar disappeared. He came back and told me "that dip was flipping amazing!" Grilled pineapple, onions, red & green bell peppers and flaming habaneros are a perfect combination. The sweet heat is a favorite of ours. I tell you, if this product isn't an award winning one yet, I am sure it will be soon.

This recipe was developed specifically using Terrapin Ridge Farms Sriracha Sauce. I DO NOT recommend substituting sriracha hot chili sauce in this recipe.
Sriracha Honey Chicken Wings
serves 8
12 ounces Terrapin Ridge Farms Sriracha Sauce (Not Sriracha Rooster Sauce)
½ cup honey
1 lime juiced and zested
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
4 pounds chicken wing drumettes
Combine sriracha, honey, lime juice and zest in a medium pot over medium-high heat. Whisk to combine. Bring to a boil. Add butter. Boil for 3-5 minutes. Allow the sauce to cool to room temperature.
Place drumettes in a gallon size resealable container. Pour about ½ of sauce over top of drumettes. Reserve remaining sauce. Seal bag and massage to combine sauce and wings. Marinate 30 minutes on counter top.
Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil. Remove chicken wings from bag with tongs. Place on baking sheet. Bake for 20 minutes, brush with reserved sauce halfway through cook time. Increase temperature to 425°F, generously brush with remaining sauce again and bake for 20 minutes until sauce is caramelized.
Serve and enjoy!
