Jack Daniels Double Kick Grill Sauce

I am loving cooking with Jack Daniels!  It cooks down to such a fantastic flavor.  My first try was the Jack Daniels Double Kick Pork Chops.  They were soooo good that Chad didn't eat anything else for a week.
So that creation inspired the Jack Daniels Double Kick Grill Sauce.  I tell you it is sooo amazing.  It features Jack's smoky/sweet flavor with a kick from chili paste to kick things up a bit.  I have used in on pork, chicken and beef.  I also have drizzled it all over nachos and sprinkled them with cheese and devoured them. 

The ultimate is coming soon.  A Jack burger and a Jack dessert.  Did I say I love cooking with Jack?  Oh yes I do and you will too.  What is your favorite spirit to cook with?

Tequila Lime Grilled Chicken is bursting with flavor.  Fresh lime and Jose Cuervo Gold are the stars of this marinade!  Marinated over night for fabulous flavor. 

Tequila, lime and orange all come together to create the Best Ever Margarita Chicken.  This is one recipe you have to try!

Jack Daniels Double Kick Pork Chops are loaded with Jack Daniels and a some chili paste for a double kick.

Jack Daniels Double Kick Grill Sauce

¼ cup granulated sugar
1 ½ teaspoons molasses
½ cup Jack Daniels Whiskey
1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
1 ½ tablespoons low sodium soy sauce
1 tablespoon chili paste (I used Gourmet Garden)
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
1 tablespoon corn starch
2 tablespoons water

Combine ingredients (except corn starch and water) in a medium size pot over medium.  Whisk to combine.  Bring to a boil, whisking frequently.  Combine corn starch and water in a small container, whisk to combine and add to sauce.  Whisk and allow to boil for 3 to 5 minutes.

Remove from heat.  Serve and enjoy!

  2. This is right up our alley and thanx very much for sharing! Have you ever made a big batch of this and stored in fridge? Im thinking it should keep well for awhile considering the JD in there. Have you any recommendations?

    1. I have 4x the batch, I have not kept it longer than 3 weeks in the fridge because we love it so much. please let me know how yours does in the fridge. XOXO Donna

  3. kinda confused.....said mix all ingrediants....the the last part is mix cornstarch and water? which is it?
