If I had to describe myself, I would have to say I am not necessarily hip or up to date on the trends. I love the classics. Things that stand the test of time. Classic movies; I love Breakfast at Tiffany's and a gazillion other movies from years ago. Classic music soothes my soul; dare I say I love 50's, 60's, 70's and 80's music. Classic cars... Oh my heavens don't get me started. And of course classic cocktails.

Spending time back home in Florida brings certain things to mind. Mom's meatloaf, dad's brichole, lasagna dinner and then certain cocktails. The classic Long Island Iced Tea is one that jumps into my mind. Once upon a time on a beach long ago I enjoyed these fabulous drinks at a ladies night.

I am so happy that it is grilling season again. I am giddy over this Grilled Tequila Lime Chicken recipe! I know I could grill all year long living in Arizona, but there is just something about spring and summer that makes grilling that much more fun. I'm in a boozy kinda grilling groove.

It's Ladies Night Slow Roasters! We are so excited to be hosting our second weekly Cocktail Link Party here at TSRI. This week we are celebrating National Margarita Day! It is a paid day off right???? Well, wishful thinking. I guess no one is going to pay you to sip margaritas. Drats! Maybe... Jose Cuervo is giving their people a paid day off for National Margarita Day.

National Margarita Day is February 22nd! I am so excited that we have a nice variety that will take you from cocktails to dinner to dessert. Perfect margarita celebration meal. It was just last year that I discovered how much I enjoy tequila, starting with the frozen margarita which evolved into my favorite cocktail, the Puckered Jalapeno. It sounds peculiar, but trust me it is fabulous!

Happy Thursday and welcome to Ladies Night! Every Thursday we are so excited to bring you the best cocktails we can dig up and develop. Chad our fabulous mixologist has been digging through the archives once again and came up with an old favorite. Every cocktail has a story, and every story stars a devoted mixologist, bartender or spirit enthusiast that we can thank for these fabulous classic creations.
It will be cool someday, when I can order one of Chad's custom creations at any bar or lounge!!! Apparently, I am not the only one fond of this spectacular cocktail. It is listed as one of the 5 most requested cocktails in the world. With a total of 5 spirits in this drink (gin, vodka, tequila, rum and triple sec), you might expect it to knock your socks off. However a classic Long Island Iced Tea really tastes like you are drinking a sweet iced tea, with fantastic citrus notes. Go figure!

Classic Margarita and creating an unbelievable Grilled Margarita Chicken.

Welcome to TSRI's Summer Grilling Celebration! It's Ladies Night and tonight we are fixing the most fantastic cocktail to top off the Knock Your Socks Off Tex-Mex Burger that we wrote about yesterday.
I know we have had a few Margaritas in the last month, but I can't help myself. When I discuss cocktails with TSRI's Mixologist and Cocktail Artist, Chad I always have a rather convincing argument when it comes to Margaritas. This week it was only logical to make a margarita to go with the Tex-Mex burger we were featuring. Either way, my drink request and his mouthwatering creation...

Happy Ladies Night! I am so excited about this last cocktail creation for Cinco de Mayo. We have had a fantastic month of Cinco de Mayo cocktails and will be sharing an amazing Cinco de Mayo cocktail roundup this afternoon. If you missed our Cinco de Mayo party food round up you can check it out here.
Over the last year Chad has been infusing alcohol with various different things. Some have been a major stroke of genius and others just a major pain to clean up after (hint: marshmallows and vodka=bad infusion mess). So I suggested getting into the produce and infusing a jalapeño into something (I am really inventive like that when it comes to drinks). Chad the "Master of Cocktail Artistry" managed my favorite all time cocktail. I know I have said that a few drinks along the way were a favorite or made the top 5, but this one beat them ALL out!

It's Thursday Slow Roasters, you know what that means??? LADIES NIGHT!!! Tonight we are serving up the Tequila Sunrise (the original recipe was even created at the Arizona Biltmore Hotel right here in Phoenix) made perfect with just a splash of grenadine so you get the bright combination of fresh orange juice and tequila. You don't even have to be Mel Gibson, Kurt Russell or Michelle Pfeiffer to enjoy a Tequila Sunrise.
