Truly an all-purpose marinade I would happily use this as gravy on my mashed potatoes too (I may have done that already).

  1. Houston here! In Galveston... Stop by the LA King's Confectionery for some ice cream and chocolates! Shrimp N Stuff is our favorite place for lunch. Los Campos and Bronco Burritos make pretty darn great breakfast burritos/tacos!

In Houston: stop by Fat Bao off of Kirby for a new take on fusion sandwiches! I recommend the Crab Daddy (soft shell crab) and the Fish with Thai Chili Bao. There Yummy Fries also lives up to the name.
Or step into a very unassuming diner off of Edwards called Stanton's City Bites near downtown and prepare to be blown away! I recommend the Luke Skyburger with its juicy patty, fried bacon, sautéed spinach and mushroom and provolone! Get it with their Italian fries!
Barbecue? The best in Houston/bear Houston can only be found at Killen's BBQ. The line may be intimidating but the beef ribs and brisket are well worth it! Go early! They close when the BBQ is gone which is usually in the early afternoon.
For a casual dinner, give Star Pizza a shot off of Norfolk! Get a half Starburst, Half Joe's with Chicken deep dish... Baked Goat Cheese appetizer to kick it all off!
Also in the area is Halloween Express where you'll find a huge selection of costumes and great customer service! Stop by and say hello to John and Samantha!
For a fancy dinner, make reservations at Chama Gaucha and be prepared to be spoiled to the limit! Try their Papaya Creme with Liqueur dessert to finish off your dinner.
Want dessert elsewhere? Flying Saucer Pie Company off of West Crosstimbers has the best pies in Houston. This place around Thanksgiving is a nightmare. Lines that form at 4 am and wraps down the block.
After dinner drinks? I hear Ambrosia has quite the atmosphere and cocktail list!
Looking for things to do? The Martian comes out today and it may be in DBox. Head to one of two Santikos theaters we have in Houston and enjoy the movie in action/moving seats! Buy your ticket online to choose your seats.
Or check out Miller Outdoor Theater or any theater in Houston for some pretty great shows!

I hope you have fun in Houston!!
