What's Sizzling on TSRI This Week?  Our hottest recipes! Where else to find us! What we are up to!

We receive so many emails from y'all asking how things are going and what we are cooking. We love chatting with you and would like to invite you to sit down and catch up.

We will be sharing with you our most popular recipes each week. These may or may not be what we published this week but it gives you a good idea of whats hot right now.

We are featured across the web and we are excited to share some of those features and recipes that we share on other websites.

Of course there is always fun to be had and we are excited to share some of that with you on Instagram, but with a short caption and a hashtag it is hard to get the whole story across. So, we are choosing our favorites to share here and give you the nitty gritty.

We have some travel in our future and would love to get your suggestions on where to go, what to eat and what to see for our destinations. What is first? Check out our Sizzling Fun section.

Lastly, we love to hear from you. Emails, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram are fantastic. But we love to hear all about your experiences right here on our site too. All of our readers will benefit from your kitchen adventures with our recipes and if you just love something so much that you have to tell me, I'd love to hear that too.

So, kick off your shoes and make yourself at home. Let see What's Sizzling on TSRI This Week

Check out what is trending this week on The Slow Roasted Italian. Our top 5 most popular recipes this week are a combination of old favorites and new summer recipes. I'm sure you will love them all!

Antipasto Tortellini Salad is my latest summer obsession! It is a fusion of your favorite antipasto together with a pasta salad that is tossed with an amazing homemade zippy Italian dressing that will make your tastebuds sing. I can't stop eating it, it's so good!

Best Ever Southern Peach Cobbler is the simple recipe of your dreams.  Fresh sweet peaches baked in a spiced sugar mixture and topped with the most amazing cobbler topping.  Sprinkled with sugar for a caramelized topping it is heaven on a plate!

Lazy Day Salsa is a perfectly scoopable classic tomato salsa that is whipped up in a flash (no chopping required). It is speckled with bits of onion, garlic, and cilantro for extra freshness. This salsa is so easy you can make it in 10 minutes (it takes me 5) . The best part is, you can add it to left over chicken, burgers, casseroles and viola you have the perfect dinner.

Italian Herb Baked Meatballs are our family's favorite meatball ever! They are loaded with fresh herbs and cheese. They are bursting with flavor.  You can make pasta sauce, but there is truly no need. They are the best daggum meatballs ever!  No sauce required. Simple recipe, magnificent meatballs!

3-Ingredient Brownies are moist, chewy, chocolaty and oh so fudgy. They come together in just 5 minutes. And the taste is spectacular. They are sweet enough to be a treat and not overly decadent. Definitely my new go to everyday brownie recipe.

We have finally planned our dream vacation to Disneyland. My Pinterest is filling up with practical shoes, things to do and what to eat.  We have never been so we are making this trip extra special for Munchkin. Growing up in Florida, I just about lived at Disney World and I am so excited to share that Disney magic with her (and Chad too). So, tell me everything. What should we do, see, eat???

It is a month a way still, but I have decided that I need to get our legs prepared for the trip so we are #trainingfordisneyland. It is tough to hit the pavement when it is 100 degrees outside, especially with a 5 year old. But we are doing our best. We have been walking everyday as a family, at least a mile or 2.

Even in the extreme heat we are experiencing right now, Phoenix is beautiful. So we enjoy the sky, the mountain views and the epic sunsets. Not to mention our neighborhood is a stray golf ball mecca. So, we go collecting along our walks. Some days we pick up more than others. I guess it depends how hot it is. It's kinda tough to make that dogleg with sweat in your eye. LOL Yesterday it was 108 and we found 5!

When we are not outside being active, we love to get out of the house and head to the movies. Going to see the Minion Movie was a great time. Munchkin loved it and Chad and I thought it wasn't bad. I personally loved Despicable Me 2 much more. What did you think?

On the home front, it is August and it is still so hot. The kitchen is the warmest part of the house year round, so I like to try and keep it cool in the summer by limiting the stove and oven use. There is a lot of crockpot cooking and cold sandwiches and salads. Quick and easy one pot meals are common too.

Of course the grill is king and now that Chad has mastered the PERFECT BURGER, I am sure I will be calling on him for dinner more times than not. Now, if I can only get him to share it with you. {{hint, hint}}

I hope you enjoyed catching up! {{Let me know in the comments below.}}

With love from our simple kitchen to yours.
