Summertime means lots of fun and lots of activities that take up most of our time. When I was looking for a super quick and easy way to make french fries, to go with our barbecue I decided to cut them thin and grill them. No time for parboiling when there is so much to do!

Moms, dads, working men and women: there just never seems to be enough time. Some days you are just short on time for dinner, and you need simple, fast and flavorful. That is the exact time to make this 5-5-5 Gravy. Perfect for any dish that calls for brown or beef gravy. I use it on Munchkin Meatballs served over egg noodles, roasts, meatloaf and time I any need brown gravy quick I pull out this recipe. It is delicious!
It is thick, full flavored gravy and only takes 5 minutes to prepare. The recipe calls for ingredients that virtually everyone has on hand at all times and it tastes awesome! We love it and I am sure you will too!

I am constantly looking for new ways to make my daughters meals even more nutritious. So far her toddler favorites seem to be cheerios, fruit, pastas, ice pops and meatballs. If I would allow it I am sure she would eat fruit, pasta and Cheerios all day.
As a mom I feel a lot of responsibility for what my family is eating, so I started to work with what is in front of me (what she actually likes). I started creating ice pops packed with delicious and nutritious fruit and yogurt to make her snacks healthier.

We are truly enjoying the fruits of summer this year. This ice pop was inspired by my desire to make an awesome ice pop that brought together some of the flavors of the islands and then luckily, the planets aligned (aka the store sales cooperated). We combined some of our favorite flavors to make an incredibly eye catching amazingly flavored ice pop. This one our Munchkin calls an I-Pop. Cute huh?
Truly a rainbow of fruit flavor. Geesh, every time I start to describe this I run across another product advertisement. Those Saturday morning commercials must have been really good as a kid. They are still stuck in my head. Taste the rainbow!

I love fruit in the summer time (especially fruit cocktails, but we will get to that in a minute). Berries rock my world. Strawberries, raspberries, blueberries I love them all equally. At the top of my list are the snozzberries. Snozzberries! Who ever heard of a snozzberry??? (Willy Wonka reference)

I created this burger for Chad, my awesome husband. His love of way too spicy hot sauce and buffalo wings coated in said hot sauce was the inspiration for this burger. Right away I knew that the burger needed to be on a pretzel bun; this fabulous definition of what a pretzel bun should taste like. It is firm and pretzely on the outside and soft and pillowy on the inside. What a magical combination!

Can you think of a better way to celebrate National Tequila Day, than with a Boozy Margarita Cupcake? This scrumptious cupcake is inspired by the Classic Margarita. Packed full of lime and tequila, the moist and tender cake will draw you in with incredible ribbons of lime zest through out. The icing on the cupcake? A true Margarita frosting!
A frosting spiked with Cuervo Gold tequila and triple sec is brightened with fresh lime juice to make this the most amazing Boozy Margarita Cupcake you will ever sink your teeth into!
Happy National Tequila Day! In the last few months I have discovered a new found appreciation for tequila. Cuervo Gold had been my favorite. I am not sure if my palette has changed or just that this tequila is that good, but I find it smooth and sweet.
Although I am not a spirit connoisseur, I can tell you it is my new favorite spirit!
My appreciation for the cocktails has carried over to our dinner table. I found tequila to be amazing in a marinade. Margarita Chicken is the best chicken I have ever had! Chad will very happily second that. As long as I am making it again. Lastly, tequila has shown up on the dessert table too. This awesome Boozy Margarita Cupcake is definitely something to put on your list to make.

A few months ago we took an amazing trip with my parents to Sedona; known as the most beautiful place in the United States. During our trip after a long day filled with spectacular sight seeing we stopped to eat at this fascinating restaurant; Cowboy Club. It was 2 restaurants in one with 2 different menus. Formal dining on one side and casual on the other. Well if you know us, casual was right up our alley. I got the taste for these Pretzel Buns during that visit!

So, on special occasions I like to go to Red Robin. By far my favorite thing is the campfire sauce on the fries and onion rings. I never really worked on trying to come up with a copy, but this sauce does remind me of their campfire sauce a little.
This sauce is really simple and perfect for dipping or topping your favorite burgers, the Simple Barbecue Ranch Sauce is creamy and has a nice cooling element to it. Perfect when paired with the Spicy Jalapeño Jack Burger! The ranch really gives this a new dimension of flavor.

Weening my daughter off her bottle seemed like a never ending battle. She actually drank out of a bottle until she was almost 2. I tried from the time she was about 14 months to get her to drink milk out of different sippy cups. I tried the soft ones, ones with tops like a nipple, different colors, different characters and different brands, I even tried the Avent sippy cup top on her bottle base. It seemed like it would never end. I kid you not we collected 20 sippy cups over that 10 months.

If you are looking for a tasty way to beat the summer heat, the Raspberry Lemonade Yogurt Ice Pop is just the perfect treat. Chad and I have a deep love and appreciation for all things lemon. Whether its sweet treats, savory eats, household remedies or beauty treatments we are always happy to use lemon. We always have a fruit basket full of lemons and a good portion of the year we are fortunate enough to have a tree full of lemons.
As I was preparing these fabulously flavorful frozen treats, all I could think about was biting into one. Savoring the layers of tart lemon juice and lemon zest and contrasting sweet raspberries perfectly combined with smooth and creamy protein packed yogurt. I very carefully constructed each popsicle. Took my time, I mean look at those raspberries, all with the end game in mind. These were mine! Chad doesn't care for popsicles that much and Munchkins palette isn't quite developed enough to really enjoy lemon yet. This creation was all for me.

Happy Thursday and welcome to Ladies Night! Every Thursday we are so excited to bring you the best cocktails we can dig up and develop. Chad our fabulous mixologist has been digging through the archives once again and came up with an old favorite. Every cocktail has a story, and every story stars a devoted mixologist, bartender or spirit enthusiast that we can thank for these fabulous classic creations.
It will be cool someday, when I can order one of Chad's custom creations at any bar or lounge!!! Apparently, I am not the only one fond of this spectacular cocktail. It is listed as one of the 5 most requested cocktails in the world. With a total of 5 spirits in this drink (gin, vodka, tequila, rum and triple sec), you might expect it to knock your socks off. However a classic Long Island Iced Tea really tastes like you are drinking a sweet iced tea, with fantastic citrus notes. Go figure!

The fantastic Hasselback Potato was all the rage last year, but needless to say... I am not real trendy. Shocking, I know! Seriously though, I am more of a classic girl. I am not what you call hip. But, I am really good with that. The trends come and go, classics... We are here to stay. So, what does this have to do with our lovely potato you ask?
As I was saying, I am not trendy. I kind of march to the beat of my own drummer. So Hassel-who potatoes? Exactly! Then, last month I needed the perfect side to go with my Bacon Bourbon Barbecue Chicken Kabobs; a potato that I could stuff with mounds of butter, cheese and bacon. Although I am very fond of the Italian Potato Skins I made last year, and yes they would be an appropriate carrying vessel, I have made a lot of potato skins. I wanted something different. I immediately remembered those accordion-like potatoes I saw everywhere last year.

Gazing out the window on a hot summer day, I find myself longing for a tropical island paradise surrounded by crystal clear turquoise waters. Palm trees, tropical fruit, paradise....
Just then I look out my window and watch the shadows of yet another heatwave pass by, in this hellacious desert. I developed this tropical inspired ice pop as my own mini get away. On those long hot summer days, while my Munchkin is napping, I lay on my love seat and enjoy this unbelievable frozen treat. Just the soothing sounds of a clicking ceiling fan as I savor every moment and allow myself to be swept away to my own little paradise. If only for just a moment.

Summertime calls for refreshing treats; fresh fruit and ice pops are tied for number one in our book. So how do you take your favorites and combine them into one incredible treat? It occurred to me when I was making the balsamic reduction for the Gourmet Caprese Burger. After reducing the balsamic, it was so amazing I was literally licking it off the spoon. So, I had to make a second batch, okay and a third too. I could not stop eating it and drizzling it on everything. I realized that first of all, Fresina's should look into turning their Signature Balsamic into lollipops. Seriously. I would buy them!
